The migration file thatsurvives scrutiny.

Since 2018, OmegaVisa has assessed, prepared and lodged Australian and Canadian permanent residence, student, work and visitor applications for families across India. We tell you your real score, the routes that are genuinely open, and what it will take to get there — before you spend anything on a lodgement.

Subclass 189, 190 and 491 — decided by points, won on evidence

Sixty-five points lets you submit an Expression of Interest. It does not get you invited. Recent Subclass 189 rounds have cleared well above that, while state and regional nominations have invited lower where the occupation is short. We work the three levers that actually move a score — English band, assessed years of experience and nomination strategy — and tell you honestly when a route is closed.

Subclass 189 — Skilled Independent

Permanent from grant, no sponsor, full work rights anywhere in Australia. Purely points-ranked, so it favours candidates at 85+ points.

Subclass 190 — State Nominated

Five extra points and a state nomination in exchange for a two-year commitment to that state. Occupation must sit on the state's list.

Subclass 491 — Regional Provisional

Fifteen points, five years provisional, then Subclass 191 permanent residence after three years of regional living and income tests.

Points that move the needle

Superior English +20, 8–10 years skilled experience +15, Australian study +5, professional year +5, partner skills +10.

Canada · Economic immigration

Express Entry, CEC and 80+ provincial streams

Canada runs the most predictable skilled-migration system open to Indian applicants: draws every two weeks, published cut-offs, and a nomination layer that can lift almost any qualifying profile above the line. The work is in the detail — NOC classification, ECA equivalency, reference letters written to IRCC's duty-and-hours standard, and proof of settlement funds that withstands review.

  • Federal Skilled Worker for applicants with overseas experience and no Canadian ties
  • Canadian Experience Class for those already on a post-graduation work permit
  • Category-based draws for healthcare, trades, STEM, transport, agriculture and French
  • Provincial nomination through Ontario, BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba streams

Study abroad

Admissions and student visas, handled together

A strong offer letter and a weak visa file still ends in refusal. We shortlist institutions against your budget, academic record and post-study intent, then build the financial and intent evidence the visa officer will actually test.

8–12 applications typical

University shortlisting

Group of Eight and ATN universities in Australia; U15 and polytechnic pathways in Canada; Russell Group and post-92 options in the UK. Matched to your percentage, backlogs and budget.

Australia February and July, with a smaller November intake. Canada September, January and May. UK September and January. Applications should open 9–12 months ahead of your intake.

Tourist, visitor & Schengen

Short-stay visas are won on funds, ties and a coherent story

Most visitor refusals have nothing to do with missing forms. They come from a bank statement with an unexplained deposit, an itinerary that does not match the stated purpose, or no credible reason to return. We build the file backwards from the officer's checklist.

Minimum rating
I had 70 points and had been told by two other consultants that I should wait. OmegaVisa reassessed my ANZSCO code, got me a better skills assessment outcome and pushed my PTE strategy. Invitation came in the second round after EOI. Grant in 7 months.
March 2026

Ritika Sharma

Gurugram · Subclass 189

CRS went from 452 to 491 after they restructured my work-experience letters and got my spouse's ECA done. Honest about timelines throughout — they never once told me a draw date they could not know.
February 2026

Abhinav Joshi

Pune · Express Entry

My first study permit was refused elsewhere for weak ties. The team rewrote my SOP around my family business succession plan and re-filed with proper funds documentation. Approved in five weeks.
January 2026

Meher Kaur

Ludhiana · Study Permit

Very thorough on the financial documents, which is exactly where my earlier application failed. Only reason for four stars is that appointment slots at VFS took longer than I expected, which is outside their control.
January 2026

Sanjay Iyer

Chennai · Schengen

AHPRA registration plus state nomination is a genuinely complicated sequence. Having one case manager who understood both halves saved me months of guessing.
December 2025

Dr. Farah Qureshi

Hyderabad · Subclass 190

They told me plainly that my NOC was not in demand for the stream I wanted and redirected me to the Employer Job Offer stream. Nomination received, PR filed. Straight advice beats optimistic advice.
December 2025

Karan Malhotra

Delhi · PNP Ontario

Four offers from Group of Eight universities, scholarship of AUD 12,000 at one of them, and the GTE statement was drafted in three rounds with me, not for me. Very collaborative.

Aarti Deshpande

Nagpur · Student Visa

Family of five for a UK visit. Every applicant had a separate cover letter and sponsorship trail. All five approved together, which was the whole point.
November 2025

Mumbai · Visitor Visa

Good support on the Skilled Worker CoS paperwork and clear on the health surcharge cost, which nobody had explained to me before. Communication over WhatsApp was quick.

Questions we are asked every week

Straight answers, by visa category

65 points is the minimum to submit an Expression of Interest, but it is not the invitation threshold. Recent Subclass 189 rounds have invited most non-pro-rata occupations between 85 and 95 points, while Subclass 190 and 491 state nominations have been issued lower, sometimes from 70 points, where the occupation matches a state's shortage list. We model both your current score and realistic ways to add points before you lodge.
